Some Changes Are Coming To The Annual Mackinac Bridge Walk
For those who make it a point to walk the Mackinac Bridge every Labor Day, be aware of some changes being made for this year.
According to a release from the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), the annual Labor Day walk has lots of changes coming to is this year. Here's what walkers should be aware of:
- The bridge will be closed to public traffic during the walk, from 6:30 am to 12 pm.
- You can start from either side of the bridge.
- No waiting for a bus to take you to the starting point, as you can start from either side.
- Anyone who walks the entire length of the bridge needs to arrange their own transportation to get back to the other side.
