Well, it looks like the remnants of Tropical Storm Cristobal will be bringing some stormy weather to the Lansing area tonight and tomorrow. And when we say stormy weather, this time around the National Weather Service mentions the term 'tornado' a couple of times in their forecast.

So, here's the deal. First, there's a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms tonight. The National Weather Service says that those storms are most likely to hit the Lansing area  between 6 pm and midnight. With the first round of thunderstorms, we'll see some damaging wind gusts and the NWS says that there's a "slight chance of a brief tornado". Wind gusts tonight and tomorrow are expected to be around 40 mph.

The storms are supposed to continue on Wednesday and the National Weather Service says that tomorrow we could see large hail, damaging winds and a tornado is possible on Wednesday as well. As of Tuesday morning, June 9th at 7 am, the National Weather says that the highest threat of tornadoes on Wednesday "is east of Highway 131 in the afternoon, including Lansing, Jackson, Alma, and Mt. Pleasant". The storms on Wednesday are most likely to hit the Lansing area between 2 pm and 9 pm.

And, finally, if you didn't already know, today is going to be HOT with high temperatures expected to be around 90 degrees.
