Second Fire In Two Years Affects Grand Ledge Auto Dealership
Thankfully no one was hurt during the blaze.
According to the Lansing State Journal, there was a fire at Sundance Chevrolet in Grand Ledge Saturday (January 19th) afternoon. The fire was said to have started from a spark that two mechanics saw in the body shop at around 12:30 that afternoon. A fire extinguisher that was on hand was used to try to put the spark out, but the spark turned into a fire that could not be contained, at which point, they called the fire department.
Thankfully, no one was hurt during the fire and it was contained to just the body shop area. The extent of the damage that was caused to the vehicles inside the body shop at the time of the fire is not yet known. However, Sundance says that "There will be no losses for the customer."
This is the second fire that Sundance Chevy has experienced within the last two years. Back in 2017, there was a fire that completely destroyed one of there office buildings and 30 vehicles. To read more about the most recent fire at Sundance Chevrolet, click here.
