There were some pretty big some storms that moved through parts of Michigan over the weekend. On Saturday, some areas in Michigan experienced some very strong winds, some areas got a lot of rain and some places got some record-breaking hail. According to the National Weather Service, the baseball-sized hail that fell in Battle Creek this weekend was a record-breaker. The 2.75" hail that fell in Battle Creek this past weekend was the largest hail reported in western Lower Michigan since July 4th of 2012, when hail that also measured 2.75" fell in Mecosta County.

It was also a record-breaking weekend when it came to rainfall totals. According to Darrin Rockcole from WILX, a record setting 1.92'' of rain fell in Lansing. Jackson recorded .79'' of rain, while parts of Eaton and Clinton Counties picked up over 2'' of rain.
