Soon it will be Halloween. Leaves will turn. Everything will be pumpkin spice flavored. And, you'll want some scary stories to tell around bonfires - or PTA meetings. Mid-Michigan is rich in ghost tales and they cry out to be told.

That's why I'm here. I'm the Ghost Whisperer. I like to whisper. No, thank you - I don't need a lozenge.

Tonight's story is the reason the self-guided tour pamphlet for the Michigan State Capitol reads:

"Be careful on the cast iron Grand Stairs.
Do not allow children to jump or run on them."
