Back in September we told you about Kelly Cripe, one of our WITL listeners who lives in Potterville, Michigan who is need of a kidney donation. Today is a special day for Kelly as she is celebrating her 40th birthday so we thought we would update you on Kelly's story. Organ donation is a very complicated process and unfortunately, even though there have been many people that came forward to be a kidney donor for Kelly, she still has yet to find a match.

If you missed the story or need a refresher, here is Kelly's story. Kelly suffers from lupus and has been battling kidney disease for the past 20 years and she is currently in stage 5 renal failure. It could take several years for Kelly to receive a kidney from the transplant list, that's why finding a donor as soon as possible is so important.

If you would like to help, please keep in mind that Kelly's blood type is A+. Please call the University of Michigan Transplant phone number at 1-800-333-9013. Kelly is NOT asking for any financial help...she's just asking you to "share your spare." Kelly is the proud mom of two 16-year-old twins from Potterville (they're pictured in the photo with Kelly). She grew up in Holt--you may remember her as Kelly Thompson. Let's make this happen!
