Every once in a while, when the conditions are juuuuuust right, blue ice will build up "along the Great Lakes shoreline." And right now, the conditions are absolutely PERFECT!

According to MLive, freelance photographer Tori Burley has been waiting for good "blue ice" conditions since 2011. Her patience has paid off because the images she was able to capture of the blue ice are absolutely stunning and breathtaking. Having never seen "blue ice" like this myself, the pictures leave me stunned and amazed and in absolute awe of how cool Mother Nature can be. Check out the astounding images in the gallery above.
