People in Jackson County have been getting scam phone calls recently from people claiming to be from the sheriff's office asking for cash. According to MLive.com, “The subjects claim that you that you have a warrant and that you need to meet them and pay a bond,” sheriff’s officials said. "The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office will not call and ask you for money". And apparently they don't have a "mobile bond payment service" Contact the sheriff's office if you get a call like this.
