Parts of Mid-Michigan Under A Winter Weather Advisory
It could get a little slick in some areas of mid-Michigan today. According to the National Weather Service, there is a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 1pm today for people in the following counties: Clinton; Gratiot; Ionia; Kent; Montcalm; Muskegon and Ottawa. The advisory was issued because of the chance of some mixed precipitation that includes wet snow accumulations of up to one half inch and ice accumulations of a light glaze.
After the wintry mix leaves the mid-Michigan area, it still will be a wet day as we'll see on and off rain showers and a few thunderstorms. Some of the thunderstorms today could contain strong winds.
