Parts of Mid-Michigan Could Get A Significant Amount Of Ice
Apparently, winter isn't over yet as the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for several counties in mid-Michigan including Clinton, Ionia and Shiawassee counties. The watch starts later tonight and will remain in place until Sunday morning. With this storm, there is concern for significant icing as the National Weather Service says ice accumulations of three tenths to three quarters of an inch are possible. Also, winds will be a factor in some areas as winds of 20-30 mph are possible.
The NWS is also warning residents of the chance for power outages and tree damage due to the ice and they say that travel could be impossible and to watch for falling tree branches. Click here for more info.
