Parts of Michigan Expected To Get LOTS Of Snow
If you have any travel plans to head to northern Michigan, you might want to think twice. According to the National Weather Service, parts of northern lower Michigan could get 10 or more inches of snow this week. The winter/spring storm is expected to hit the areas of Petoskey, Charlevoix, Gaylord, Traverse City, Kalkaska, Alpena, and more starting Tuesday morning.
Many counties to the north are under a Winter Storm Watch and the National Weather Service says that along with the heavy snow, winds could gust as high as 30 miles per hour. The NWS says that motorists in the area should be prepared for difficult and hazardous travel conditions.
