Next time you're driving to Holland State Park and you get on M-6 near Grand Rapids, you may see a sign as you pass East Kentwood reading "David Warsen Memorial Highway".

Who's David Warsen? According to MLive.com, David Warsen was a graduate of East Kentwood High School. And he was a U.S. Navy SEAL, assigned to SEAL Team 3 and killed while on a Special Operations mission in the Khandahar province of Afghanistan, August 16, 2012. David was one of eleven  (including one other Navy SEAL among the six other Americans) who died that day when their Blackhawk helicopter crashed.

At the dedication ceremony on Saturday, Karlyn Deveau, who was engaged to marry Warsen said, "We want Dave to be remembered. So we think seeing his sign on the highway will be a reminder to everyone."

So, when you see the sign, thank Dave for his service. It's the least we can do.
