Jill Davis is an Owosso resident and owner of an in-home bakery she calls Drizzle Cakes and Bakes. The mother of two makes her network television debut tonight at 9 pm.

Davis is Competing for a $25,000 Prize

Contestants who appear on reality, competition, and game shows are strictly forbidden from disclosing the results of any show before it airs. Davis tells the Lansing State Journal that she participated in at least two competitions, both of which will air tonight:

There's a 'Thriller' competition which focuses more on flavor and a 'Killer' competition which is a more grand-scale baking competition. She shared that her anxiety level is "very high" in anticipation of the first show's airing.

Without sharing too many details, Davis noted that in the first episode, contestants are asked to create a 'tourist pie' and a 'blood splatter cake.'

“And I will be participating in at least those two challenges because it's the first episode,” she laughed.

Competing Against Other Talented Contestants

Davis, described as a hopeless creative also refers to herself as a wanna-be-comedian. She says the competition for season eight of the Halloween Baking Championship is stiff.

“Being around that much talent in that broad of a spectrum, it's just like, ‘What am I doing here?’” she said. “So it was crazy, but the cast genuinely clicked with each other.”

You'd think an appearance on a national TV show like Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives or Restaurant: Impossible would guarantee success for a restaurant.

That hasn't been the case for these six restaurants, all of which have closed after being featured on national television.

It's not, of course, because that home is actually in the suburbs of Chicago.

According to the real estate listing, this Michigan home was built about 74 years before the movie debuted.
