New Store Announced for Meridian Mall in Okemos

Okemos will soon have a new store to add to the lineup.

If you've spent any time at the Meridian Mall in Okemos lately, I'm sure you notice that it feels a lot different than it used to. There are fewer stores than there used to be.

However, the Meridian Mall is getting some new life breathed into it with the addition of a new store, as BoxLunch will soon join the lineup.

What You’ll Find at BoxLunch

BoxLunch is a chain store that sells all kinds of pop culture-themed items. Everything from clothes to jewelry to home decor and a ton of stuff in between is available to purchase from a multitude of fandoms.

Do you like Winnie the Pooh? How about Harry Potter? Are you a big fan of Jurassic Park? What about KPop Demon Hunters? All of these favorites and a whole bunch more are available at BoxLunch.

When Will BoxLunch Open in Okemos?

We won't have to wait too long for the grand opening. According to multiple sources, the BoxLunch website lists the location as "coming soon". A Facebook post from the Meridian Mall says to stay tuned for a summer 2026 announcement, and General Manager Adam Hodges says it's looking like a June opening.

If you want to check out what they offer, of course you can go online. However, if you want to check out all the cool stuff in person, there are five other locations in Michigan: Auburn Hills, Clinton Township, Grandville, Novi, and Taylor.
