This Ohio Home for Sale is Perfect If You’re Okay with Carpet
Are you in the market for a new home?
If so, you probably have a long list of all the things you'd like your new home to have.
Things like having more than two bedrooms, at least one and a half baths, a fenced-in yard, a finished basement...the list goes on. However, perhaps two of the biggest factors that go into buying a new home (besides price) are location and whether or not the home is "move-in ready" or more of a fixer-upper.
Move-in Ready or Fixer-Upper
If location is important to you, as a Michigander, I cannot consciously recommend that you move to Ohio. Just on principle alone, I would recommend looking within the great state of Michigan.
However, if you're looking for a home that you can take and make your own with a little TLC and hard work, then this home in Whitehall, Ohio might be the right one for you. It's listed on Zillow by Kathy Chiero of Keller Williams Realty for $325,000. Just be ready to remove some carpet.
This House Has Carpet Where?
Yes, you read that right...carpet. That's one thing this house has plenty of. Perhaps, a little too much. And perhaps, in places that are a bit unnecessary, like the kitchen...and the bathroom...
Unfortunately, it seems like someone was a little heavy-handed with the carpet in this house. I'm not sure what it was about the '70s that made people want to carpet EVERYTHING, but here we are; 50 years later and still dealing with the poor decor choices of those that came before us.
Check out the house in the gallery below. If you can look past the carpet in the kitchen and the bathroom (again, both completely unnecessary and, to be honest, more than a little gross), then you have an amazing five-bedroom, three-bathroom house that is waiting for you to make it a home. And hey, maybe your feet are always cold but you refuse to wear socks in your house on principle (you do you, we're not here to judge). In that case, this carpet-crazy house might be perfect!
