Two New Businesses Coming to Lansing’s Eastside Corner
The Lansing community is always changing. Sometimes for the good and sometimes for the not so good. This time, I think it was for the good.
We have two new businesses poised to open their doors!
A Long-Vacant Lansing Building Gets New Life
If you've driven along Pennsylvania Ave near Kalamazoo any time in the last year or so, you might have noticed that the building at the north west corner has had some work done.
Now, for years that building has sat empty, waiting to achieve its potential.
In the past, it's been a dollar store and more. Now, we're going to see two businesses take over that spot; a liquor store and a fried chicken spot.
What's Moving In: Chicken and Cheers
Liquor Express and 517 Chicken N Fries have put up signage on the outside of the building, but the inside still needs some work.
There's no sign or information on an anticipated opening date, but based on the work that needs done on the inside, we're a little ways off from them opening their doors.
Local Fried Chicken Places in Lansing
517 Chicken & Fries won't be the only fried chicken place in that area. A post was made about the arrival of 517 Chicken & Fries in the Lansing Foodies Facebook group, and that was pointed out in the comments.

Those familiar with the area probably know that Eastside Fish Fry is about a mile east on Kalamazoo.
The liquor store will also have competition, as a liquor store just took over the former dollar store on Michigan Avenue, across from Babe's Corner. Hopefully they do well!
