New Lansing Chick-fil-A Reveals September Opening Plans

We've known for a while now that Chick-fil-A is coming to Eastwood Towne Center in Lansing.

What we haven't known is when those of us on the city's north side would finally be able to get our hands on those chicken sandwiches and waffle fries.

Now we're getting closer.

And I'm just going to say this now: prepare yourselves.

Because if there's one thing I've learned about Lansing-area Chick-fil-A openings (and really Chick-fil-A openings everywhere for that matter), it's that everybody seemingly loses all ability to behave normally for the first few days after it happens.

I get it. I may be part of the problem myself.

I've absolutely made a Chick-fil-A run and convinced myself that the line "isn't that bad" while staring at approximately 37 cars in front of me.

Chick-fil-A Keeps Expanding Around Lansing

The good news is Chick-fil-A has been steadily adding locations around the Lansing area.

The one in Delta Township has been here for about 10 years. Another Chick-fil-A popped up in Okemos in 2017. South Lansing got one earlier this year.

Where Is the New Lansing Chick-fil-A?

Now the north side is getting one too, operated by the same guy who runs the Okemos one. It will be located at 2615 Lake Lansing Road, where Comerica Bank used to be.

That's great news if you're already shopping at Eastwood Towne Center or maybe catching a movie over there.

But those first few days?

Godspeed.

Traffic Around Eastwood Towne Center Could Get Interesting

Eastwood Towne Center traffic can already get interesting, especially with construction on nearby Lake Lansing Road and U.S. 127. Throw a brand-new Chick-fil-A into the mix, and I'm predicting a brief period where getting a 12-count nugget combo and waffle fries requires the kind of strategic planning normally reserved for military operations.

We still don't have an exact opening day, but September is the target.
