Mystery Million Dollar Winner In Pewamo Is Identified

Back in early April, we told you that someone in Pewamo won a MILLION DOLLAR prize in the Mega Millions drawing with at ticket that was purchased at the Oakwood Lounge. Well, now we know who that winner is!

According to the Michigan Lottery, 73-year-old Thomas Heckman of Pewamo was the million dollar winner. Peckman told officials with the Michigan Lottery that "It was the talk around town that someone had won on the Mega Millions." (I'd like to think that he was talking about the blog post we put up on our website that weekend that talked about someone winning.) He said that the lottery talk reminded him to check his ticket and when he did...well, the rest is history.

His ticket matched the five white balls drawn on April 5th. Those winning numbers were 08-22-24-38-64. Click here to see his lottery story. By the way, that Mega Millions jackpot keeps growing. Tuesday's jackpot is now worth $229 million. (Another winner in Michigan would be fun, right?!?!)
