Michigan Zoo Temporarily Shuts Down Due To Unwelcome Visitor
School field trips to the zoo--with a coyote on the loose--could make for a scary situation and that's one of the reasons that officials at the Detroit Zoo shut down the facility for a short time on Monday. According to the Detroit Free Press, the coyote was never caught and eventually the zoo did reopen for visitors. It's not the first time that the zoo has had to close because of unwanted visitors. In the past, a deer, skunks, foxes and more have also prompted officials to temporarily close their doors.
