Michigan Woman Wins Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest
Pillsbury has been holding a yearly Bake-Off contest since 1949. It's a chance for bakers to submit their original recipes and win some cold hard cash. And here's some great news, this year the 49th Annual Pillsbury Bake-Off contest grand prize winner is from Michigan.
Melissa Jollands of Hudsonville, Michigan submitted a recipe for her Dublin Cheeseboard-Stuffed Appetizer Bread. According to the recipe description from Pillsbury, "you can enjoy all your favorite flavors from a pub-style cheeseboard in every bite." The Dublin Cheeseboard-Stuffed Appetizer Bread features creamy honey goat cheese, white cheddar and salami all baked inside the Pillsbury French bread. Melissa walked away with a check for $50,000 for the winning recipe.
Some of the other category winners included recipes for cherry-cream cheese crumb cake bombs, poblano shrimp flatbread and Reese's Piece O' Bliss Fudge. Click here to see all the winning recipes. Here's the video of the big Michigan winner.
