According to WOOD-TV, a woman from Alto, Michigan says she was attacked by an injured buck earlier this week in the Grand Rapids area. Shawna Hoekstra says that she and her children spotted the injured deer in a field on Tuesday morning. She decided that she was going to follow the deer and wait if for it to die. That turned out to be a bad idea...

Hoekstra says that as she got closer to the deer, she realized that yes, the deer was injured--it couldn't walk--however, it apparently could still lunge and that's exactly what he did--right at her. She says she struggled with the deer for about 30 minutes until some backup arrived. You can read more about her deer adventure by clicking here.
