If you're headed to Spartan Stadium in East Lansing this Saturday to see the Spartans take on the Wolverines, there are some things you'll want to keep in mind when it comes to tailgating for the big game.

First, if you haven't heard, the game is going to start at noon. That means you'll want to head out early Saturday morning. According to the official website of Spartan Athletics, tailgate lots for the Michigan game will open at 7am. Tailgating is permitted in all public parking areas on the campus of Michigan State University. However, there has been a change in tailgating at MSU in 2018, as public parking on Munn Field has moved to Cherry Lane Field (which is located on the corner of Harrison Road and Shaw Lane). No vehicles will be allowed to tailgate on Munn Field.

Public game-day parking for cars will be available for $20. Public parking at Cherry Lane can be made at Lot 70 ($30). There is also a shuttle service from Lot 89 which is  located off of Mount Hope Road and Farm Lane. A round-trip shuttle costs $5 per game.

And yes, there are some things that you're NOT allowed to bring for tailgating. No kegs, no couches, that sort of thing...you can see the complete list of prohibited items and learn more about MSU tailgating by clicking here.
