Michigan State Baseball Player Wins Home Run Derby…On Lake Michigan
Well, this certainly isn't something you see everyday...
Sporting News, Marty Bechina, a baseball player at Michigan State, recently won the Northwoods League Home Run Derby. (The league is a wood-bat summer league.) This Home Run Derby is certainly very unique--because for this event, players hit baseballs off a pier and into Kenosha, Wisconsin's Lake Michigan harbor. Watch the video below, posted on Twitter by Scott Grodsky, and maybe it will make a little more sense. What an awesome idea!
