A school district in western Michigan announced this week that they will be banning the use of cell phones during school hours this fall. The Forest Hills school district, which is located near Grand Rapids, says students won't be allowed to use their cellphones during school hours but they will be allowed to keep their cellphones in their lockers.

According to a report from WOOD-TV, officials with the Forest Hills school district said that the no cellphone policy is set to go into effect in the Forest Hills Public School District at the beginning of the school year next fall. If students need to reach a parent, they can use a school phone and if a parent needs to reach their child during the school day, they can call the school office.
