Michigan Residents Will See Low-Flying Helicopters
Here's why you might see some low-flying helicopters the next couple of weeks in parts of Michigan--two words--power lines.
According to CBS Detroit, the fly-overs will cover an area from Lansing, south to the Ohio border and east to the Lake St. Clair area. The flyovers started last week in parts of Michigan and will be taking place until around June 10th. The inspections are for ITC Transmission and Michigan Electric Transmission Company. The helicopters will be flying low in lots of counties including Ingham, Jackson, Hillsdale, Lenawee, Washtenaw, Livingston, Oakland, Macomb, St. Clair, Wayne and Monroe counties. Officials say they're looking for damage, wear or other potential problems. (I say "wink, wink"...but that's just me...) :)
