The XM-42 is manufactured in Michigan, helps clear snow from your driveway, eliminates weeds and make bonfires more fun. And some state lawmakers don't think you should be able to own one.

The problem? Two words - "personal flamethrower".

According to MLive.com, Ion Productions in Warren is selling what they say is the world's first commercially available handheld flamethrower for $900. Some people have a problem with this. Just like they do with the really GOOD fireworks and landing helicopters in your backyard.

Fine. Just don't start whining when the zombie apocalypse happens.
