Authorities say a police officer was shot early this morning during a traffic stop in Saginaw County. Officials say the police officer was stopping a motorist around 2 a.m. this morning in Saginaw County's Kochville Township when the shooting occurred. According to a report from the Detroit Free Press, the officer was shot by the driver as he was approaching the vehicle during the traffic stop.
