Michigan Man Carries Winning Million Dollar Lottery Ticket In Wallet For Months
When's the last time you cleaned out your wallet or purse? Well, if it's been awhile, this story may inspire you to start cleaning.
Lottery officials say that a man from Alto, Michigan had a winning Powerball ticket in his wallet for two months before he realized it was a winning ticket worth $1 million. According to the Detroit News, 53-year-old Daniel Chase said that he always puts tickets in his wallet after buying them and checks on them "after a while". He discovered the million dollar ticket last week and it was purchased for the drawing on December 16th in Alma. (I guess that qualifies for 'after a while').
