Michigan Library Gets Book Back–49 Years After Due Date
According to the Detroit Free Press, a library book that was checked out 49 years ago has finally been returned. The person who checked out the book explained that he was a college student in 1967 when he got the book from the Herrick library in Holland. He then ended up storing the book in trunk that wasn't opened until recently. Apparently to cover the late fees, the 'unidentified borrower' sent a $100 check along with the book.
