Michigan Farmer Charged With Animal Cruelty
According to the Livingston Daily, a farmer from Cohoctah Township who was charged with animal cruelty last year was sentenced earlier this week. Officials say that 70 cows were found dead on the Michigan farmer's property last fall. 61 year-old Keith Edwin Huck Jr. was sentenced to 15 days in jail, he will also have to pay approximately $20,000 in restitution and will not be allowed to own any animals during his two-year probationary term
Huck pleaded guilty back in December to one count each of the following midemeanor charges; abandoning an animal/failure to provide care, failure to bury a dead animal, and stray dog and unlicensed dog. Click here to read the full story.
