Michigan DNR Says You Can’t Give Chocolate To The Bears

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says to put that Snickers bar down and step away from the bears!

If you missed the news, the Michigan Natural Resources Commission voted last week to make it illegal to bait bears in Michigan with chocolate...and boy do I feel dumb because although I was born and raised in Michigan, I had no idea this was a thing.

Oh, and according to this report from Mlive, you're not allowed to use cocoa either...(and quit trying to be sneaky, we all know that chocolate and cocoa are quite similar.) Anyway, you can read more about the changes in rules for baiting bear by clicking here.
