Michigan Christmas Tree Farms Booming During Pandemic
Putting up a Christmas tree is one of the best ways to get in the spirit of Christmas. When I was a kid growing up in Chicago, we were never privy to having a real tree. But I went over to a friend's house that had a real tree. I remember the smell being fantastic. I think more and more people are doing the real tree thing lately.
And check this out, Michigan tree farms are one of the businesses that are thriving right now according to fox47.com.
It looks as though more families are turning to real Christmas trees instead of artificial ones. Experts believe the pandemic might be the reason why people are turning to this tradition. Larry Davis, the owner of the Huron Christmas Tree Farm in New Boston, said it's only the first week of December and sales are up by at least 30%. Business has been great this year," Davis said. "It’s nice to see people out enjoying themselves.”
So nice to hear about businesses doing well during the pandemic. With 2021 right around the corner, hopefully we'll be talking about how great local businesses are recovering especially bars and restaurants.
