Meet Your Official Michigan Christmas Tree
Your official State of Michigan Christmas tree has been chosen.
According to WXYZ-TV, our official tree - the tree which will be on display at the capitol and will be lit at 7:45 during the Silver Bells in the City Celebration on Friday November 16th (are you getting excited?) will come from.... (please provide a drum roll in your head or on your desk)......
Alpena, Michigan!
It's a 62-foot spruce donated by a couple in Alpena. It will be harvested (the term "chopped-down" is so...violent) on October 25th.
Here's the story. Merry Christmas.
