Meet the Mitten Mutt — He Explores All the Cool Vacation Spots in Michigan [VIDEO]

Does your dog have an Instagram account? The Mitten Mutt certainly does, and the pictures are freaking adorable.

Mason loves to explore tourist-friendly spots throughout the great state of Michigan and with the help of his best friend he sniffs out everything the Mitten State has to offer.

Drew Mason is a filmmaker and photographer from Grand Ledge. He and his wife Amanda decided to adopt the rescue dog after they struggled with fertility. Fortunately, they were able to welcome a baby girl not long after Mason came into their lives.

In fact, the duo has been featured in lots of publications and they are often used in Pure Michigan campaigns.

Now, Mason is a social media sensation with thousands of followers on Instagram. But when the couple adopted Mason, they didn't know what to expect.

“We didn't really know what Mason was going to turn into. We were told that he was going to be about 20 to 25 pounds," Drew Mason tells 13 on Your Side. "He was kind of a surprise that he's now between 45 and 50 pounds.”

The Masons say they've been taking their pet on adventures throughout Michigan ever since he was a puppy, and he really doesn't know life any other way.

“It really kind of took off. I mean, I wouldn't say he's like a full-blown influencer but we've made long-lasting friends through the Instagram platform," Mason said.
