If you've been craving a salad from McDonald's, you most likely are out of luck. According to a report from Newsweek, McDonald's has pulled salads from 3,000 restaurants in Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota, Montana, North Dakota, Kentucky, West Virginia and Missouri after dozens of people were sickened with Cyclospora infections.

According to a statement from McDonald's, the company decided to pull the salads from 3,000 locations throughout the Midwest "out of an abundance of caution" and they added that they were going to voluntarily stop selling salads at impacted restaurants until they can switch to another lettuce blend supplier. At least 61 people in seven states have become sick.
