Luke Combs Now Has Something That Could Only Come From Lansing
Country star Luke Combs played Ford Field in Detroit on April 22, and WITL gifted him with something that could only come from Lansing, Michigan.
Combs reportedly set an end-stage record for attendance at a concert at Ford Field, packing 52,783 into the stadium.
The country star is staying pretty busy these days. The Detroit stop was the 5th show on Combs' epic world tour that will eventually take him to New Zealand, Australia, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, and more than half a dozen other European countries. He's also a new dad, with wife Nicole having delivered baby boy Tex on Father's Day 2022.
In March, Combs revealed that he and Nicole were expecting another baby in 2023. So when the Luke Combs World Tour made its scheduled stop at Detroit's Ford Field on April 22, we here at WITL in Lansing knew just the gift to pass along to the growing family.
In addition to its official moniker of "100.7 WITL", our radio station has been affectionately known as "Wittle" for as long as anyone can remember. There are lots of other 100.7 stations around the country, but WITL and "Wittle" are unique to Lansing, Michigan.
We decided to help welcome the newest addition to the Combs family in a way that only we could, with a newborn onesie that reads "WITL Bundle of Joy" - read out loud, of course, "Wittle Bundle of Joy".
As any parent knows, a newborn can go through several onesies a day. It's fun to think that for a few fleeting moments, the newest Combs baby could have a connection to all of us here in Mid-Michigan.
