Very soon, Luke Combs and his wife, Nicole, will welcome their first child together. Though they've revealed that the baby is a boy, the couple has remained tight-lipped about what his name will be.

In an interview with Audacy's Rob + Holly backstage at the 2022 Tortuga Music Festival, the "Doin' This" singer was asked what his baby's name rhymes with during a game of Truth or Dare. He wasn't budging.

"It rhymes with, uhh ..." Combs began with a long pause, jokingly adding, "It rhymes with 'orange.'"

"We are in talks," the country star says, confirming that they are close to nailing down the baby's real name. "There's a shortlist."

"There's a theme. I'm good," he says, noting that as long as his son is healthy, he doesn't care what name they land on.

"If a damn alligator can come out, it wouldn't matter to me as long as it's healthy," Combs insists. "I would teach him to sing, teach him how to eat a cheeseburger."

The couple — who wed on Aug. 1, 2020 — announced that a little bundle of joy was on the way on January 20 of this year. Both shared a series of photos on their respective Instagram pages to tell friends and fans the good news.

"Here we go y’all! Lil dude Combs is coming this spring! Couldn’t be more excited to start a family with this babe. It’s gonna be a hell of a ride @nicolejcombs," Combs wrote in the caption.

Since then, his feed has mostly been filled with posts about work, aside from the Valentine's and International Women's Day tributes to his bride. It looks like fans will have to wait until Baby Combs' arrival to learn what his name will be.

The soon-to-be-father has been in the midst of baby preparations and is learning a lot. "It's a lot of stuff, man," he admits to People. "I didn't know what a bassinet was. But that's a thing apparently. A lot of new words I'm learning."

In addition to making room for baby, Combs is also working on his third studio album which should arrive in 2022. In response to a fan in early March, he tweeted that he and his team were nearly finished with the project.
