Matthew Stafford is saying goodbye to his team, Detroit, and also his magnificent home.

The Detroit Lions quarterback, who announced his departure after 12 seasons, hasn’t announced where he will be playing next, but his home is on the market and he and his family are ready to go.

Although on the market in the spring, Stafford and his wife, Kelly, re-listed their lakefront home for $6.5 million Monday, just two days after news broke that Stafford and the Lions agreed to part ways.

The home is located just outside of Detroit is 12,295-square-feet, has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and sits on 1.27 acres of a pointed peninsula that reaches into all-sports Upper Long Lake.

The home has just about every little extra you would expect from a professional athlete. The Stafford house includes a indoor half basketball court made of flooring the Detroit Pistons played on at the Pontiac Silverdome, five fireplaces, a sauna, a wine cellar, and  a glass elevator with service to all three of the levels.  Still the highlight of the spectacular home, and what really sets it apart, is that it boasts the largest infinity pool in the state.

Stafford and his wife are parents to four daughters, 4 year old twins Chandler and Sawyer, 2 year old Hunter, and Tyler born June of this past year. In addition to their home in Michigan, the Stafford's have houses in Georgia and California. We will have to wait. and see what state the family will call home next.

If you happen to be in the market for some new digs, the home is listed with Max Broock Realtors of Birmingham. If you're just curious....then here's a glimpse into the amazing home.
