If you're a big fan of J. R. R. Tolkien, or maybe just really neat looking cottage, you should take a vacation to this Northern Michigan "Hobbit house".

MLive reports that it was built by a Michigan architect, Earl Young, as a wedding gift to his daughter. It was built with all kinds of "locally sourced building materials, like rocks and boulders from a nearby quarry." And, it looks like it's straight out of "The Shire". AND it's available for renting!

Bill Thom owns and rents "Half House" (it's official name). Check it out in the gallery below!
