Lansing's Dean of Sports, Tim Staudt, is up for quite an honor. The co-host of the MSU Football Tailgate Show on WMMQ and longtime WILX-TV Sports Anchor is a finalist for induction into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame's 2019 class in its Media category.

Staudt has been a lifelong fixture in Lansing sports for many area residents, celebrating his 50th Anniversary in broadcasting earlier this year. Tim has been at WILX since 1980, and on the radio with "Staudt On Sports" on Lansing's Sports Station The Game 730 AM WVFN since 1993. Prior to WILX, Staudt served as Sports Director at the former WJIM-TV, now WLNS.

Voting for the MSHOF is open to the public through April 30. Most of the current inductees have connections to the Metro Detroit population center and its professional teams. Tim Staudt is a great ambassador for the Mid-Michigan sports world, and this nomination is long overdue. Follow this link to The Michigan Sports Hall of Fame website to show your support and to vote for Tim. (Be sure to read the voting instructions carefully...they are a bit tricky. Your vote will not count if not done properly.)
