9 Lansing Area Restaurants That Will Be Open on Christmas Day

For some of us, Christmas means cooking up another big family dinner - similar to Thanksgiving. Maybe it's ham this time. Or maybe we visit another relative's house for this get-together.

For others, the idea of a big Christmas Day meal isn't appealing. Maybe we just don't want to go to all the trouble.

Most Mid-Michigan eateries will be closed on Christmas Day so that employees can observe the holiday with their families. However, we found at least nine places in the Lansing area that will be open on Christmas Day if you're looking to eat somewhere outside the house.

Asian Gourmet

Asian Gourmet is located at 2003 East Michigan Avenue in Lansing, right next to The Green Door.

Bravo! Italian Kitchen

If you're in the mood for Italian, Bravo! Italian Kitchen in Lansing's Eastwood Towne Centre will be open on Christmas Day from 11am to 8pm.

China Garden

China Garden can be found at 1605 W. Mt. Hope Avenue in Lansing.

Hibachi Grill & Sushi Buffet

Hibachi Grill & Sushi Buffet prides itself as Lansing's largest buffet. It's located near Lansing Mall on West Saginaw Highway.

Lucky House

Lucky House Chinese Restaurant is located on Grand River Avenue in Okemos, across from Graff Nissan.

Mitchell's Fish Market

Here's a seafood option for you this Christmas! Mitchell's Fish Market is located in Lansing's Eastwood Towne Center and will be open from noon to 9pm on Christmas Eve, and from noon to 8pm on Christmas Day. Call ahead for reservations.
