The Lansing Police Department will be conducting a large-scale training exercise on Monday, May 7th. According to the Lansing State Journal, police officials are asking residents in the south Lansing area to avoid the area near Trinity Church in south Lansing on Monday while police do their training. For those people who won prizes recently on WITL and plan on picking up those prizes on Monday, you may actually see some of the "police training" signs near the radio station since Trinity Church is located on Dunckel Road. Officials with the Lansing Police Department will be conducting the  training exercise from 8am to 6pm. Officials say the goal of the exercise is to determine the readiness of key personnel during large scale events.
