The Lansing Lugnuts have named a new manager for the 2019 season.

He is former Major League player Dallas McPherson.  He managed the Toronto Blue Jays short-season Class A team, the Vancouver Canadiens, in 2018.  He takes over for the departed Cesar Martin.

He joins a couple of new members to the coaching staff for 2019.  They include new hitting coach Logan Bone and new strength and conditioning coach Hiroki Yoshimoto.

The Lugnuts begin their 24th season of existence in April.  The Luggies were knocked out of the Midwest League Playoffs in the first round by eventual League champion Bowling Green last September.
