Laingsburg Woman Wins A Half Million Dollars On Vacation

Yep. I'm jealous.

According to the Michigan Lottery, Melissa Cramer from Laingsburg was on an annual camping trip with her friends and fiance when she won big with a scratch-off ticket. Cramer told lottery officials that while her fiance was getting some stuff at the Rivertown E-Z Mart in Cheboygen, she sent him a text and asked him to pick up some scratch-off tickets. At first, her fiance said he didn't want to buy any tickets because she "always loses" when he buys the tickets for her. However, as every smart husband does (my opinion--insert smiley face here) he followed her wishes and ended up buying her some tickets and in her text back to him she promised she would win "this time".

As they say, the rest is history...Melissa did win--$500,000 on a Lucky Streak ticket. She got her check on Thursday from the Michigan Lottery. You can read more about it here!
