If you haven't heard by now, all the locations of JR's Hometown Grill and Pub have closed. JR's opened its first location in Adrian in 2009, Tecumseh in 2011, Brooklyn in 2012, and Milan in 2015. Now, all of those locations are permanently closed.

JR's Hometown Grill and Pub Closes All Locations

The owner, Robert Loudermilk, is very sad to have come to this decision. In a statement on social media, Loudermilk said,

I am thankful to all the wonderful staff and friends for the support over the years and always tried to be a positive impact on each community we were blessed to be a part of. For the last year and a half, I have solely taken upon myself the financial burden of the business. The inability to secure long-term capital has forced this decision on me.

This very sudden closure comes just months after the chain sold thousands of dollars in gift cards to patrons.

What Should You Do if You Bought a Gift Card to JR's?

If you were one of the many patrons that bought gift cards in a big 50% off sale that JR's had a few months back, you're not completely out of luck.

Some local businesses have stepped up to help honor a portion of those gift cards, so at least you're not out everything. Bring your gift cards in to the businesses below.

  • Chomp Burger in Adrian - 15% off up to $25
  • Over The Edge Sports Bar & Pizzeria in Manchester - Maximum discount of $25 through the end of March
  • Big Boy in Tecumseh - 25% off of a bill of up to $25
  • Sal's Italian Restaurant in Tecumseh - 25% off of a bill of up to $25

If you're one of the people who lost their job in these closures, the owner of Sal's Italian Restaurant in Tecumseh is offering jobs to former JR's employees.
