Fieri has visited more than 1,250 restaurants around the country since the show first aired in 2007, and that included a few stops here in Michigan. Cruising through the Mitten State in his iconic red car, the chef has stopped at over a dozen Michigan eateries, but one, in particular, stands out.

Recently Mashed, the multi-platform publication dedicated to those who find the joy in eating as much as those who find the joy in cooking, put together a list of  "The Best Diners, Drive-Ins, And Dives Restaurant In Every State". According to Mashed, for Michigan, it's all about the BBQ.

It was Episode 3 of Season 13 in 2011 that brought Guy Fieri to Clarkston, Michigan all thanks to his buddy Kid Rock. Fieri was introduced to both the Union Woodshop and Clarkston Union. Both have dishes to die for, but Mashed suggests heading to the Union Woodshop for some pure food heaven.

"Be sure to try out "The Porker," which is piled high with a freshly ground pork patty, house-made Michigan maple bacon, a house-made hot link, pickled chilis, Woodshop cold smoked cheddar cheese, and something called South Carolina mayo", they wrote. 

They also suggest leaving some room for dessert and indulging in the signature Maple Bourbon Sundae, which features a Jim Beam sauce poured over house-made liquid nitrogen ice cream.
