Michigan’s First, New Aussie Grill by Outback to Open in 2024
Few chain restaurant brands are recognized around Flint and Detroit quite like Outback Steakhouse.
Fans should be excited for a spin-off restaurant from the creators of Outback as they introduce a new concept to Michigan.

Is Outback getting into the fast-food business?
While the company is not diving into the fast-food world, they are getting into the "fast-casual" game. (Which is what Chipotle does, but they refuse to have drive-throughs.)
Introducing, Aussie Grill by Outback, complete with a drive-through.
Focused on burgers, sandwiches and... more you won't find at Outback.
The brand is not much like Outback. Rather, they say "inspired by" its big brother.
What type of food will be served at Aussie Grill?
The company is able to serve a steak in five minutes -- not sure how you'd eat that on-the road, though?
The menu also includes:
- Sliders
- Brisket Sandwiches
- Po' Boy Sandwiches
- Burgers
- Crispy Cajun Shrimp
- Chicken sandwiches and tenders
It doesn't look like the Bloomin' Onion is on the menu, but the onion rings will surely be similar with breading and the famous dipping sauce.
Where will Aussie Grill by Outback be located in Michigan?
Since most Michiganders know where IKEA is located... just east of there, in Canton, MI.
It'll be conveniently located off I-275 at 39707 Ford Road.
Currently, Aussie Grill is expanding quickly around Florida.
That's the home market for Bloomin' Brands which operates Outback, Aussie Grill, Carrabba's Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill and Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar.
