Michigan Will Have Chance to See 2023 Canadian Pacific Holiday Train

Brace yourselves for a dazzling spectacle this holiday season Michiganders! The famous  Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is making its much-awaited return, rolling through the Great Lakes state this season.

If you aren't familiar with the iconic train, the CPHT is about 1,000 feet long with 14 brightly holiday-themed decorated rail cars. Each car is lit with hundreds of thousands of bright LEDs and holiday designs celebrating the season's spirit.

The holiday train began its festive runs back in 1999 and at each stop collects food for community food banks along CP's network in the U.S. and Canada. Since its yearly holiday voyage started, CPHT has raised more than $22.5 million and 5 million pounds of food. 

Three different trains celebrating the holiday season will hit the CPKC Railway system this November and December, the company announced this week. The trains are set to run from November 20th through December 19th celebrating its 25th year.  Although Michigan is not listed as a stop on the route, you can still take in all the magic of the holiday train.

How to See the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train in Michigan

This year the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train, which runs in Canada and the U.S., will pass through the area on its way from Canada on November 24th for a stop in Windsor. According to reports, the train will travel through the downriver area that evening. The official time has not been released yet, but the train is expected to pull into the Windsor stop sometime after 6:00 pm that evening so it's estimated Michigan will get a view shortly before.
