What used to be a Hooter's location along the water in Bay City, MI is now home to an entirely different concept -- one with an amazing view.

Plus, there will be a future dock for boat access, too. More on that, below.

New Bay City restaurant is nestled on the Saginaw River

H2O Waterside Grill is officially open for business. The former Hooter's location doesn't look remotely the same. They've done a great job building anticipation for the new spot since last year.

If you notice the usage of capitalized "O" throughout their posts -- it's distracting IMO, but represents the beginning of the owner's last name, Owczarzak. Maybe you've heard of their sister restaurant O's Pub & Grill in Auburn, MI?

The couple that owns each place, Mark & Laura, recently told MLive:

We wanted to create an atmosphere that people could come to and they would feel like they’re on vacation in their hometown.

Based on the view, I'd say they nailed it...

H2O Waterfront Grill Menu

You can expect great burgers, salads, pizza and a full bar with creative drink options. You'll likely see some of the popular menu items from O's Pub & Grill, too. While the new menu isn't published on their website yet, I'd expect that will happen soon.

There's a boatload of outdoor seating (you're welcome for the pun). Plus, plenty of room inside for the off-season times of the year.

According to their Facebook page, a dock is in the works for the future. For now, if you want to take your boat to H2O's you can pay to dock at Liberty Marina. We wish the O's and their team all the success in the new spot.
