
Massive Chocolate Recall Hits Meijer Stores in Six States
It's always a sad day when they start recalling chocolate here in the state of Michigan. I mean, what are we supposed to stress eat after a long day when they go for our precious chocolate?

In case you missed it, there is a major chocolate recall, hitting this Michigan based store that you should watch out for.
What Product Is Being Recalled?
Frederik's Meijer Dark Chocolate Almonds are now being recalled here in Michigan. There are two different variations of the chocolate currently being recalled.
- 12oz Black stand-up pouches (UPS7-08820-68730-1) with a sell by date of May 7 2026 or May 28, 2026.
- 8-count, 1.5 ox multi-pack boxes (UPC 7-19283-11923-0) with a sell by date of May 5th, 2026.
Why the Recall Was Issued
The product may contain dark chocolate-coated cashews, which aren't on the labeling of the packaging, which could present problems to people with a cashew allergy.
Where Was It Sold?
The product was sold at Meijer stores in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky as well as Wisconsin.
As of now, no adverse health effects have been reported because of the product being sold, however, with the nut allergy, it is probably better to play it safe than sorry if you do have any allergies.
What You Should Do If You Bought It
If you have any of the affected products, you should stop use immediately, and return it to customer service at any Meijer store, and they will give you a full refund.
